Yes, audio cues can definitely trigger a panic attack.

To prevent it, you will need to do some work to discover the origin and also some stress management techniques. A good therapist can help you through the process, but here is some general information:

To discovered the origins, you’ll need to examine the following: When did the panic attacks start? What is the common thread? Is there anything else besides sound that acts as a trigger?

At the same time, you’ll need to practice relaxation techniques in a "safe" environment. Focus on techniques you can use at any time, such as deep breathing and mental imagery. The next step will be to implement those techniques when the panic attacks occur.

This is just a very brief summary, as panic attacks can be a serious issue. At their worst, they may require medication to control them while you work on preventing them.

    Good luck!

It can, however any change in your environment can trigger one. Also, if you had suffered a panic attack in a situation that involved a loud noise, your body can be predisposed to hearing the noise and then activating the response that causes a panic attack. My suggesstion is to seek counseling with a therapist that can help treat the panic attacks whenever they may happen. Medication and behavior therapy will be your best bet.

It was first noticed, to the best of my knowledge, during World War One. Soldiers became shellshocked by the noise of the artillery guns, because their instinct was to run away, they would often be shot for cowardice. Nowadays, we recognise that even the bravest people can be effected, so usually less drastic solutions are used. Stressful situations, like a warzone, can exacerbate symptoms.

Any thing and every thing can set off a panic attack. Or sometimes nothing at all will. No know reason. Largely in your head and depends where your head is at.
As for how to pervent them. Avoid artifical stimulants, and "try to" avoid stress. Every one is different so you’ll have to find what works for you to releave stress and avoid attacks.
    Good luck and best wishes.

Yes, I think so , it does it to me too, i find that if your are a real nervous person a mild seditive is really great so you can live your life at an easier pace. And it also depends on you to make that decision. It sounds like to me that you have had a pretty exciting life, and just need to spend time with family members and close friends.
Hope it gets better for you.
