I think you need to see a psychologist... Sometimes, due to imbalances of chemicals in the brain, some people find trouble in controlling their thoughts...You need medical help, that's for sure. No one would think of depressing things if there weren't a serious problem...

The human mind is so interesting. I have been in the place where I was letting my thoughts run me. I think we are in control of our thoughts more than we realize, even if we cannot control what is popping into our heads we can still control to some measure how we react to them. You can keep telling yourself you are tired of it or you can change the story and tell yourself you are intertained by it. We can tell ourself to ignore certain thoughts, we create in our own imagination the whole story, try changing in your mind what you are telling yourself about your negative thoughts, try recreating them into positives or just tell yourself they are not true and make your mind go on to something else. we can make it real or make ourself believe it is not true. You have a choice. Get outside yourself and do something good for someone else. Even if it is picking up garbage in your neighborhood. Volunteer somewhere, It seems ou have an overabundance of energy, do something good for the world with it, instead of letting it drive you crazy. This alone could refocus your energy and recreate a new thought pattern. You tell your own story, Re write it into whatever you want it to be.

It sounds to me that you have a serious case of obsessive-compulsive disorder, which triggers anxiety, depression, and suicidal impulses. You need help. Counseling, psychotherapy, and other forms of psychological help are the best ways to get treatment. They are med free and helpful in recovering or preventing an anxiety attack or triggers that may cause depression and suicidal thoughts. The only setback with this type of treatment is that it takes a long time to help. Most mental health experts say it gets worse before it gets better and these types of treatments do exactly that. They make you delve into what is the source of the problem and work up from there.

Another option is seeing a psychiatrist or your family doctor. A psychiatrist is preferable because he/she may have more knowledge of medicine pertaining to the mind and chemicals that maybe unbalanced. And with this type of treatment again, it takes a while for it to be helpful. Drugs can’t correct unbalance for up to 2 months. If the drug has no benefit from that time then switching is a good idea. But again therapy is the best way to go because medication can carry side effects and are sometimes intolerable.

Many medications are available today. Zoloft, Luvox, Celexa, and Lexapro, are all antidepressants, but they are best at treating OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), generalized anxiety, social anxiety (social phobia), and depression, in one knockout. If they are ineffective in treating all your symptoms your doctor may recommend other antidepressants, or other medications all together.

OCD is one of the hardest illnesses to treat. Usually an antipsychotic is needed in the first round of treatment to help a sufferer. There are also facilities that can be useful. But remember these are all suggestions and conclusions on my part, so first seeing your family doctor is the best bet on getting a correct diagnosis, and a way of treatment.

Good luck.

Your first priority is not to see a psychologist, and I don't believe you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, however you do seem to have something wrong going on up in your brain. It could be a chemical imbalance which leads to alot of different disorders, but that is not up to anyone on here to judge. Only a psychiatrist is equiped to do that. You don't need to see a psychologist. You need to see a psychiatrist.
